| MSC Portugal - New THC values |
| Dear Customer, with the end of the conferences in the European Union, which has been effective as from the 18th of October this year, it is now possible the establishment of a unique charge related with the THC – Terminal handling Charge, expense, as far as containerized shipments to and from any european port. Until now, THC values were indexed to conference based values, being that is was usual to verify the existence of different THC values for a terminal operation which ended up in being similar, regardless of the service to which same was associated.In this sense, MSC Portugal informs that as from the next 15th of November, a new and unique THC value will be implemented for all export and import shipments at every Portuguese port where MSC operates – Sines and Leixões. This unique charge will replace all the previous THC values charged until that date.The new THC values, which duly proportionally reflect the terminal handling costs will be the following:Dry cargo Eur 150 / per containerReefer cargo Eur 190 / per containerThe above values will be valid until end 2009, regardless of any increase of port costs which may exist until that date.We would like to emphasize though that as far as import sjipments are concerned, the new THC values will be practiced considering the BL date, ie, only for shipments which are effected at origin as from the 15th of November will the new THC values at destination be applied.We believe that with this new policy, the calculation of the total charges related with the freight will become easier and more stable. |

| MSC Portugal implements Gensets in railway platform |
| MSC Portugal as glad to announce that from June 1st, was implemented new system of Pluggin, in the rail wagon. This system allows the transportation of reefer containers by train keeping the necessary conditions of refrigeration of the products.This new system makes Sines’ Port more competitive, and offers to the import and export national and international market an excellent alternative at low prices. This solution is the result of a close cooperation between CP and MSC Portugal. We believe that it will be a strong advantage to our customers; the clients will have a commercial advantage and better transit times, the transport will be easier and it will be possible to move reefer containers to the dry ports of Bobadela and Riachos |
| MSC new direct service from NWC to Chile |
| We are glad to announce that MSC – Mediterranean Shipping Company will provide a new direct service from the North of Europe (Antwerp) to Chile.The transit time form Antwerp to Chile will be 23 days.The routing of the service will be the following:Antuwerp, Freeport, Cartagena, Valparaiso e San Vicente. |

| New routing from India and Pakistan trade to Portugal |
| It’s our pleasure to announce that MSC – Mediterranean Shipping Company has changed the routing for cargos coming from Nhava Sheva and Mundra from Antwerp to Valencia, with a significant improve in what refers to the estimated transit times involved: Nhava Sheva – 23 days; Mundra – 22 days. This change will also benefit cargos coming from Pakistan, since shipments ex Karachi are routed via Nhava Sheva, with a new estimated transit time of 30 days. | NUEVO SERVICIO DIRECTO DEL EXTREMO ORIENTE |
MSC – Mediterranean Shipping Company tiene el placer de anunciar el nuevo Servicio Directo del Extremo Oriente para SINES - LION SERVICE. Este nuevo servicio – cuya primera escala será la del "MSC ROMA", ETA 3 de Enero de 2008 – escalará el puerto de SINES semanalmente, ofreciendo los mejores tiempos de tránsito del mercado. Los barcos utilizados en este servicio disponen de una capacidad média superior a 8,000 teus y ofrecen los siguientes tiempos de tránsito (estimados): Busan 24 dias, Ningbo 21 dias, Shanghai 20 dias, Yantian 18 dias, Hong Kong 17 dias, Chiwan 16 dias, Singapura 11 dias. MSC espera que este nuevo Servicio – el único en Portugal – sea un fuerte vantaje para sus clientes. |
| 3º Portico - Terminal XXI, Sines |
| El nuevo pórtico post panamax llegó a su destino final, el Puerto de Sines (Terminal XXI), después de un largo viaje de 3 meses. Llegando hasta los 100 metros de altura y con un alcance de 20 filas de contenedores, éste pórtico representa una de las varias inversiones determinadas por parte de la concesionaria PSA, que cuidan por la mejora y expansión del Terminal XXI y que reforzará las condiciones del Terminal permitiendo recibir los barcos porta contenedores de última generación. |
